Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
Northlink Industrial ("Northlink," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit northlinkindustrial.com, send a machine or sharpening inquiry, contact us, or authorize our internal social publishing workflow.
Information we collect
- Inquiries and correspondence. We may receive your name, company name, email address, phone number, machine interest, cutter and application details, and the contents of your messages.
- Mail-in sharpening requests. If you request a mail-in service, we may receive your return-shipping recipient and address, cutter types, sizes, and quantities.
- Optional estimates. If you choose to include a return-on-investment estimate in a machine inquiry, the values and resulting estimate you selected may be included in that inquiry.
- Website usage. Our hosting and analytics provider may process technical information such as pages visited, approximate location derived from network information, browser or device type, referring page, and basic security or server logs.
- Authorized social publishing. When an authorized administrator connects a Northlink-owned social account through an official authorization flow, our internal workflow may process the account or page identifier, authorization tokens and scopes, video files, captions, publishing times, post identifiers, and error or delivery logs. We do not ask for social account passwords for this workflow.
Please do not send payment card details, passwords, or other sensitive information through our inquiry form.
How we use information
We use this information to respond to inquiries, recommend or quote equipment and services, arrange requested sharpening or shipping communications, operate and secure the website, understand aggregate site usage, and publish Northlink-approved content to accounts authorized by our administrators. We do not use inquiry details to send unrelated promotional messages without an appropriate basis or consent.
Service providers and disclosure
The website's inquiry form sends submissions to Web3Forms, which processes the form and delivers the request to Northlink. If form delivery fails and you choose the email fallback, your email application sends the message instead. Web3Forms and its service providers may process submissions for hosting, email delivery, and spam prevention. See Web3Forms' privacy policy.
The website is hosted by Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure site visits. Vercel may process hosting, security, and analytics data to provide those services. See Vercel's privacy notice.
If you request the return of cutters through our mail-in sharpening service, we provide the actual shipping carrier only the recipient name, address, and other delivery details needed to return them. We do not share those details with the carrier for marketing.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the security of our services, or to service providers that help us respond to a request. We do not sell personal information.
Social platforms and public posts
Our internal publishing workflow uses official OAuth and platform APIs. A connected platform may process administrator account data and published content under its own terms and privacy policy. Videos, captions, and other material that we publish publicly may be visible to anyone on that platform. An authorized administrator may ask us to disconnect a Northlink account and remove its locally held authorization. Removing an authorization does not automatically remove already published posts.
Analytics, cookies, and external links
Vercel Web Analytics is designed to measure website traffic without tracking cookies. Our website may still use technical information needed for hosting and security. The site also links to external services, including social platforms and WhatsApp. Those services operate under their own privacy policies once you leave our site.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside Canada. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction's laws. We use service providers for the purposes described above and take reasonable steps to protect information entrusted to us.
Retention and security
Our standard retention period for inquiry emails, return-shipping details, and internal social publishing logs is up to six months after receipt or the relevant activity. We delete or de-identify them sooner when no longer needed. We may keep specific records longer where required by law or to resolve an active request or dispute. Web3Forms submissions are subject to our account settings and the provider's own retention terms. Authorization tokens are removed when an administrator disconnects the account or asks us to remove the local authorization; platform-held records and published posts follow the platform's own terms. We use reasonable access controls and technical safeguards appropriate to the information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you and request access, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable law and necessary business records. You may also withdraw consent for future optional uses where applicable. We will explain any legal or practical limitation when responding. To make a request or raise a concern, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, providers, or practices change. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
